Trooper Tribute: Complete Review of Herc Soap Co’s Lineup 🚀🪒
Mission Complete, Troopers!
After a series of shaves using Herc Soap Co’s impressive lineup, it’s time to report back with a full debrief. Herc Soap Co, a veteran-owned brand, has put together a small but powerful collection of shave soaps that capture the essence of quality, craftsmanship, and a strong connection to military heritage. As a trooper on a mission, I tested all four of their offerings, and here’s what I discovered.
1. Engine Start 🏁
Scent Profile: Fresh Ginger, Lime, Coconut, Almond, Vanilla
This shave soap kicked off the mission with a burst of freshness. The scent of Engine Start was a powerful combination of fresh ginger and tangy lime, balanced perfectly with creamy coconut, almond, and vanilla. It’s like stepping into a well-oiled machine that’s ready for action. My PAA Amber Aerolite synthetic brush had no problem whipping up a rich, creamy lather with plenty of cushion. Paired with my Razorock Game Changer, the shave was smooth and comfortable, with Stirling’s Almond Creme aftershave splash sealing the deal. 🚀
Verdict: A great soap to start any mission, Engine Start brings freshness and energy to your shave routine. Highly recommended for those who like a bright and invigorating scent. 🌿🍋
2. Mighty MO 🌊
Scent Profile: Ocean Mist, Sea Salt, Algae, Lemon, Lotus, Cedarwood
Next up, I deployed Herc Soap Co’s Mighty MO, a tribute to the legendary USS Missouri. The scent captures the open sea with ocean mist, sea salt, and algae, while lemon, lotus, and cedarwood add an earthy, natural touch. This shave transported me straight to the deck of a battleship cutting through the waves. The PAA Starcraft brush whipped up an amazing lather with just a dime-sized amount of soap, and my Hendrix Classics & Co The Garand razor glided smoothly over the surface. Paired with Subtle Art Soap Co’s Following Seas aftershave splash, this was an aquatic experience worthy of a true trooper. 🌊🚢
Verdict: Mighty MO stands tall among aquatic scents—perfect for those looking to channel the strength and resilience of the USS Missouri. 🍋🌸
3. Morning Bliss Re-Brewed ☕
Scent Profile: Coffee, Vanilla, Mint
Morning Bliss Re-Brewed brought a fresh and smooth coffee scent to the battlefield. With notes of coffee, vanilla, and mint, this soap woke me up and got me ready for the mission ahead. My PAA Peregrino synthetic brush wasted no time in creating a cool whip consistency lather that paired perfectly with 345 Soap Co’s Coffee & Donuts aftershave splash. The Aylsworth APEX-AL6063 razor handled business as the lather provided exceptional glide and comfort. 🚀
Verdict: A delightful soap for coffee lovers, Morning Bliss Re-Brewed is a must-have for those who enjoy a warm, comforting scent with a hint of freshness. ☕🍦🌿
4. Soldiers Blend 🍂💈
Scent Profile: Tobacco Barbershop
The final soap in Herc’s lineup, Soldiers Blend, is where this trooper found his favorite. A beautifully blended tobacco scent, Soldiers Blend hits the bullseye for those who love tobacco barbershop scents. I barely needed a dime-sized amount, and my @Misticbrush and PAA Starcraft brushes effortlessly whipped up a rich lather. The scent was so good, I used it all week! Paired with one of my favorite aftershave splashes, Bricktown Grooming’s Lafayette Barbershop, the experience was top-notch. This soap and scent are definitely Beau approved! 🐾
Verdict: If you’re a fan of tobacco barbershop scents, Soldiers Blend is a must-have. Herc Soap Co hit it out of the park with this one. 🍂💈

Conclusion: A Veteran-Owned Gem in the Shave Soap Galaxy
Herc Soap Co may have only four shave soaps in their lineup right now, but each one packs a punch. From the bright freshness of Engine Start to the smooth warmth of Soldiers Blend, there’s something here for every trooper. Packaged in 4oz tubs with plenty of room for tub latherers, Herc Soap Co ensures a top-notch experience. They even offer a military/first responder/medical discount, showing their commitment to the community they come from. With only four total soaps currently offered, you won’t be disappointed. The lather was consistently rich and creamy, with plenty of cushion for a smooth shave. If you haven’t tried Herc Soaps yet, you’re missing out on an exceptional veteran-owned brand that’s making waves in the wet shaving galaxy.
